Stories to Love
72. Meet cutes, Good Samaritans, and consent in romance with Addie Wooldridge
This is episode 72 of the Stories to Love podcast. Here with me today is Addie Woolridge.
Born and raised outside Seattle, Washington, Addie Woolridge is a classically trained opera singer with a degree in music from the University of Southern California, and she holds a master’s degree in public administration from Indiana University. She currently lives in Northern California, where, when she isn’t writing or singing, Woolridge can be found baking; training for her sixth race in the Seven Continents Marathon Challenge; or taking advantage of the region’s signature beverage, wine.
In this episode she described the many different aspects which inspired the meet cute in her most recent release Anatomy of a Meet Cute. We also shared our Good Samaritan stories, her interesting background in opera and public policy, obstetric and health care disparity research, the ice cream scene in San Francisco. Finally, we talked about consent in romance, and making a move to write in teen romance.
