Episode 46 is with Mia Hopkins!
Mia Hopkins writes lush romances starring fun, sexy characters who love to get down and dirty. Her award-winning books have been featured by many publications including The Washington Post, USA Today and Entertainment Weekly. She lives in Los Angeles with her family.
In this episode, we talked about her most recent work, Tanked, which is the 3rd book in the Eastside brewery series. We discussed writing an age-gap romance, writing a book that’s set in the pandemic, and her research.
I loved chatting with Mia! Not only are her books amazing, but I think you’ll see that in addition to that, that she is a thoughtful and empathetic person. I was lucky enough to see her back in May, in person, with other Filipino-American authors when we visited Word Bookstores in NY and Love Sweet Arrow in the Chicago area.
As part of content guidance, we did discuss COVID 19, miscarriage and infertility. There is a lot of vulnerability in this episode and I thank Mia for sharing a part of herself and her thoughts.
It’s been a while since my last podcast episode! My summer was eventful in the best of ways, and I was able to achieve some much needed rest. I’ve got some episodes lined up and I’m so excited to introduce to some of my guests!
I do have an announcement! I’ve started a Patreon for the podcast! I’ve received questions as to how folks could support and thought that this would be the best way. The Patreon will also be a vehicle to provide more content to those in the upper tiers! I hope you consider supporting the podcast and thank you! Oh, the Patreon address is patreon.com/tifmarcelo
